Postdoc in Biology and Applications of Plant Immune Receptors
Project Description:
- The Kamoun Lab at The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher or research assistant to join our team. This position focuses on the biology of plant immune receptors and the application of this knowledge to crop disease resistance, with particular emphasis on nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat (NLR) proteins and their interactions with pathogen virulence effectors.
- This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to internationally leading, curiosity-driven research in plant immunity while engaging with translational efforts aimed at improving disease resistance in crops. The successful candidate will work in a world-class research environment and interact closely with colleagues at TSL as well as national and international collaborators. Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of defined research projects within the Kamoun Lab portfolio.
- Design and execute experiments addressing fundamental and applied questions in plant immunity.
- Work collaboratively with lab members to integrate molecular biology, cell biology, computational biology, structural biology, and genomics approaches.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research through publications, presentations, and engagement with collaborators.

- Salary: UEA Research & Analogous Grade 6: £31,236—£37,694 or Grade 7: £38,784—£46,049, depending on experience.
