Development of Guidelines for Instrumentation & Real Time Monitoring of Hill Slopes

Description:

  • Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for project position(s) as per the details given below for the consultancy/research project(s) under the Principal lnvestigator Prof. N.K. Samadhiya, Co-Principal Investigator Prof. Akanksha Tyagi, Department of Civil Engineering. Indian Insritute of technology, Roorkee.
  • The project involves geotechnical site investigation, and laboratory characterization. Further, the project involves real time slope monitoring using subsurface instrumcntation, and analyzing those datasets.
  • The candidate will undertake research related tasks on the aforementioned topics, prepare reports and presentations

Required Qualification:

Essential Qualification:

  • B.Tech. in Civil Engineering (min CGPA 7.0/10 or 70%) and M.Tech. degree in Geotechnical Engineering/Soil Dynamics (min CCPA 6.5/10 or 65%o)
  •  Qualified in GATE (Civil Engineering)
  •  Candidate must have good knowledge of slope stability analysis
  •  Candidate with knowledge of numerical modelling, as well as good programming skills in MATLAB/python shall have preference
  •  Candidate must be able to do field visits (sites in Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh)

Benefits:

  • Emoluments: Rs. 37000/- per month fbr 2 years + l0% HRA. Rs. 42000/- per month for 3.d year + l0% HRA
