Junior Research Fellow position in Design of Strain Sensor Arrays on Conformal Substrates with Wireless Interfaces for Space Applications

Description:

  • Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a sponsored research project entitled, “Design of Strain Sensor Arrays on Conformal Substrates with Wireless Interfaces for Space Applications”, sponsored by ISRO, through Regional Academic Centre for Space (RAC-S) at IIT (BHU), Varanasi. The project focuses on research, design, fabrication and development of sensor-arrays and embedded systems with wireless capabilities, for specific aerospace applications in Indian Space Research Organization.

Required Qualification:

Essential Qualification:

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engg., with minimum of 60 % marks, AND having a valid GATE score in EC
(OR)
  • M.E. / M.Tech (or equivalent degree) in Electronics & Communication Engg. / Embedded Systems / Applied Electronics / VLSI / Microelectronics , with minimum of 60 % marks, AND having a valid GATE score in EC
  • Age : 28 years Age-requirements align with those set forth by the funding agency, with age-relaxation applicable in accordance with Govt. of India regulations.

Preferred Qualification:

  • It is highly preferrable that the prospective candidates have some basic hands-on exposure to any practical processes of Sensor Fabrication and Characterization.
  • The candidates are also expected to possess knowledge and skillsets in the domains of Embedded Systems, PCB design, Electronics Instrumentation design, etc.
  • (Candidates with good amounts of hands-on exposure in design of electronic systems will be given priority during the selection)

Contract duration:

  • Initially for one-year; Extendable upto another one-year, on performance basis

Benefits:

  • Emoluments : INR 37,000 + HRA (per month)
