Numerical Analysis of Partial Differential Equations and Scientific Computing (2 Positions)

Project Description:

Applications are invited for two PostDoctorals position in the areas of Numerical Analysis of Partial Differential Equations and Scientific Computing. The selected candidates will carry out research with Prof. Abhinav Jha in the above areas and will be funded by the institute. Required Qualification:

Essential Qualification:

  • A Ph.D. degree in a relevant subject, such as Numerical Analysis or High-Performance Computing.
  • A strong background in Finite Element Analysis, Programming, Numerical Linear Algebra, or Analysis of PDEs.
  • Candidates who have submitted their thesis in the mentioned fields are equally eligible.
  • Minimum 60% (or equivalent) in their Undergraduate and Postgraduate and 55% (or equivalent) in their 10th and 12th grade.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Apart from research, the applicant will be expected to contribute to other academic activities of the Institute, including teaching.

  • The appointment is for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
