Postdoctoral Researcher Position in CFD analysis of high speed flows
Project Description:
Applications are invited from motivated and qualified candidates for a postdoctoral position in CFD analysis of high speed flows. A successful candidate will conduct research along the broad theme of CFD simulations of mixing and combustion in high speed flows.
Required Qualification:
Essential Qualification:
- A PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or allied areas with specialization in fluid mechanics or allied areas is required.
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards, and 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class X and Class XII.
- Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. dissertation are also eligible.
- A strong background in compressible flows is essential.
- The candidate should have prior experience with high-speed propulsion, hypersonic flows, shock–boundary-layer interactions, and combustion in high–Mach-number regimes.
- Proficiency in CFD and/or experimental techniques relevant to scramjet flows (such as reacting flow simulations, wind tunnel testing, or diagnostics) is expected, along with solid skills in data analysis and scientific programming.
Preferred Qualification:
- Familiarity with turbulence modeling, chemical kinetics, and high-performance computing will be an added advantage.
