Research Associate (Postdoc) position in Gravitational Physics

Project Description:

  • Applications are invited from motivated and qualified candidates for a Research Associate I position under an ANRF grant in theoretical gravitational physics.
  • Job Description: A successful candidate will research on various aspects of theoretical gravitational physics, including properties of compact objects, black holes and modified gravity models. Experience in studying geodesics, analyzing black hole shadows, and related topics is highly preferred.

Required Qualification:

Essential Qualification:

  • A PhD in physics with a specialization in gravitational physics. Candidates who have submitted their dissertations are also eligible to apply.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in studying geodesics, analyzing black hole shadows, and related topics is highly preferred.
  • A solid background in the computational and numerical methods used in general relativity and black hole physics is also desired.

Contract duration:

  • Two-year appointment.

Benefits:

  • Remuneration: 58,000 INR monthly (+ HRA).
