Faculty position in Materials Chemistry for Future Batteries

• As Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor/Full Professor, you will contribute to research and education in materials chemistry and chemical engineering, focusing on future battery technologies. Your work will help drive energy storage solutions, addressing key challenges in sustainability, scalability, and performance.

• The position is part of a strategic initiative from the Swedish government – Competence and Excellence in battery research and education of the transport sector (COMPEL).   Your role

• As a faculty member at Chalmers, you will:
• Conduct high-impact research on battery materials, including synthesis, processability, and interface engineering.
• Develop new materials, for example anodes, cathodes, and electrolytes, focusing on performance, scalability and real-world applications.
• Collaborate with leading academic and industrial partners in Sweden and internationally.
• Supervise and mentor students at undergraduate, graduate, and PhD levels.
• Contribute to teaching and curriculum development in chemistry and chemical engineering.
• Support an inclusive, dynamic, and collaborative academic environment.
