Description:
The Centre for Nanotechnology Research at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is seeking a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a temporary, two-year research project. This project, sponsored by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), focuses on developing rare earth free - persistent nanophosphors/thermo-luminescent nanomaterials for dark vision display applications. Based on his/her performance, the selected candidate may register for a Ph.D. program at VIT.
- Project aims to develop sunlight excitable rare earth free persistent phosphor for disaster mitigation. Knowledge about nanomaterials, their properties and optical characterization such thermo and photo luminescence is required. Strong communication and writing skills are desirable.

Essential Qualification:
Integrated BS-MS/MSc, M.Sc in material science, chemistry, physics, M Tech in nanotechnology or equivalent degree, with 55% marks and with valid NET/GATE test.
