Junior Research Fellow position in Quantifying Information Flow in Gene Expression through Transcriptional and Translational Noise
Description:
- Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the R&D project titled “Quantifying Information Flow in Gene Expression through Transcriptional and Translational Noise, RP-100356” sanctioned by ANRF, Government of India
Required Qualification:
Essential Qualification:
- Motivated candidates with a M.Sc. in Physics or Chemistry, or an M.Tech. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or MSc/M.Tech in any other relevant discipline, are encouraged to apply. The candidate should have a consistently good academic record.
Age :
- The upper age limit is 28 years (Age relaxation will be applicable as per govt.norms ANRF (Government of India) norms (5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL,
Women – 5 years etc. as applicable)

Contract duration:
- The JRF will be appointed for an initial period of one year, which may be extended based on satisfactory performance. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Benefits:
- Consolidated Salary per Month : Consolidated amount of INR 37,000 per month plus applicable HRA for candidates who have qualified NET/GATE or any other national-level examination
- Otherwise, INR 25,000 per month plus applicable HRA.
