Power Systems and Smart Grid lab
Description:
Applications are invited for a Project Associate-II who would be associated in Power Systems and Smart Grid lab in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Gandhinagar and work on developing energy transition models for Gujarat with focus on identifying renewable energy strategies and energy storage technologies to enhance grid performance, reliability and resiliency. The project staff will work with the domain experts at IIT Gandhinagar and industry professionals in collaboration with core interest in evolving grid infrastructure and power sector transformation in Gujarat.
Required Qualification:
Essential Qualification:
- Qualification: MTech/ME in Electrical Engineering OR BTech/BE in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 02 years of post‐qualification experience.
- The candidate should have strong academic track records throughout and the percentage/grade points with respect to the academic qualifications should be a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in 10th and 12th/Equivalent.
Preferred Qualification:
- Candidate should have a strong knowledge of power systems, electricity markets and economics, smart grid, renewable energy grid integration, grid optimization, electricity regulation and policy. Software skill of power system simulation tools, GAMS, and Python programming is preferrable.
