Postdoc Position in Secure and Energy efficient Mixed domain Compute in memory-based AI accelerator Chip for Edge applications
Project Description:
- Applications are invited for Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering
under the GAPD Scheme of IIT Gandhinagar.
- Funding agency: C2S Category-II project “Secure and Energy efficient Mixed domain Compute
in memory-based AI accelerator Chip for Edge applications” funded Ministry of Electronics and
IT (MEITY) through the C2S project and IIT Gandhinagar.
- The candidate is expected to have excellent understanding of digital and analog circuits, and should
have a thorough exposure to relevant VLSI tools and techniques.
- Candidates with excellent programming skills C/C++/Python, Verilog/System Verilog or equivalent, etc. and candidates with interest in computer architecture and having knowledge of system simulators will be given preference. The project will involve ASIC Design, Testing, etc.
- The Candidate should have excellent communication skills and should be able to carry out
independent research.
Required Qualification:
Essential Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics and communications/Electronics and
Instrumentation/Computer Science and Engineering/Computer Science or related areas.
- Candidates who have submitted their thesis are also eligible to apply.
- Doctoral work is expected to be aligned with the project requirements.
- The percentage/grade points with respect to the academic qualifications should be a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experienced candidates, specifically in research positions, will be given priority.

Contract duration:
- The candidate will be offered a position for 12 months, which will be extended by 1 year based on
the performance of the candidate and availability of funds.
