Overview:
- Institute Post-Doctoral Fellowships are available in various academic Departments, Centres, Schools, and Inter-disciplinary programmes. The tenure of Institute Post-Doctoral Fellowship (IPDF) would be generally for one year and extendable for two more years, subject to a satisfactory academic performance.
Eligibility:
- Candidates who wish to be considered for such an appointment may be fresh Ph.D. or Ph.D. 's with less than two years of experience or research scholars who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting examination.
- Candidates should be preferably below 32 years of age. (Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD as per Government of India norms).
- Academic units will evaluate these applications through a process similar to that of faculty selections.
- The Search Committees meet regularly to consider the applications and arrange for invited seminars and/or interviews as the need arises.
- Please write to the respective Heads of Academic Units for specific information.
- IIT Bombay's own Ph.D. students are not eligible for this position.
Employment Conditions and Benefits:
Contract duration:
- The tenure of Institute Post-Doctoral Fellowship (IPDF) would be generally for one year and extendable for two more years, subject to a satisfactory academic performance.
Benefits:
- Consolidated salary of Rs. 80,000/- per month with HRA as per the Government of India norms (currently 30% of the consolidated salary).
- Non-lapsable contingency grant of Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum.
