About the Host Institution:

Established in 2010 by the Ministry of Education, the National Institute of Technology Mizoram is an Institute of National Importance located in the scenic capital city of Aizawl. Initially mentored by VNIT Nagpur, the institute now operates from a temporary campus in Chaltlang while its permanent 190-acre campus is under development at Lengpui. Despite its relatively young age, NIT Mizoram has earned recognition in the 101–150 band of the 2025 NIRF Engineering rankings and achieved a 73rd rank in the 2025 IIRF rankings, reflecting its rapid academic growth. The institute offers undergraduate (BTech), postgraduate (MTech), and doctoral programs across five core engineering departments: Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. It maintains a strong focus on research and collaboration, recently establishing partnerships with institutions in Japan and IIT Madras for student exchanges and direct PhD programs. Student life is enriched by annual festivals like Anunaad (techno-cultural) and Shaurya (sports), set against the tranquil, hilly backdrop of Mizoram. With an overall placement rate reaching 86.7% for the 2023-24 session, graduates are increasingly securing roles at top-tier firms like TCS, Wipro, and Microsoft.
